Accessing data using your copy of matlab

OPeNDAP allows one to give a application a url and have it directly download data. To read this data into matlab use 
loaddap('http://41.72.104.142/SOURCES/.NOAA/.NCDC/.ERSST/.version3b/IOD+.C1961-2014+.iod/T+exch/2+index/.err/dods')
