The Zambia Meteorological Department (ZMD), under the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment, will join the rest of the world in commemorating World Meteorological Day on 23rd March 2023.

This year’s theme, “The Future of Weather, Climate and Water Across Generations,” highlights the importance of building a climate-resilient future through collaboration, innovation, and the sharing of knowledge across all age groups. The event will focus on strengthening early warning systems, promoting climate education, and showcasing the role of meteorological services in national development.

As part of the celebrations, ZMD will host a special webinar featuring expert presentations, youth engagement, and interactive discussions on the future of weather and climate services in Zambia and beyond.
